There are seven effects in total to collect throughout the game.
Effects[]
Flute[]
Can be found in the waiting room on the second floor of the Mall, after interacting with the o-Man.
- Plays music using the arrow keys.
Hamsa[]
Can be found in the Docks by pulling off a piece of wood next to the Train. Continuing left gets you the effect.
- It reveals secret passageways and items.
Knife[]
Can be found in the butcher's kitchen behind door one.
- Kills certain creatures.
Lantern[]
Can be found in the Red School.
- Lights up dark areas.
- Stops Mannequins.
Umbrella[]
Can be found in the Sky Garden in plain sight.
- Makes it rain.
- Can be used to double jump and float.
Scarf and Hat[]
Can be found in Snow Valley. Obtained from Mafurako.
- Freezes water when used with Umbrella.
- Turns Madotsuki into a snowman when used in snow areas (The Snow Valley, and the surroundings and inside of The Igloo.
Mask of Fear[]
Can be found in Uboa's Trap World. Interact with Uboa to obtain.
- Stops certain creatures.
- Acts like Knife sometimes.
When the Mask of Fear is in use, the screen becomes generally monochromatic and is layered over with white noise; However, when using it in the Bed World area where Monoko resides, there's monochromatic abberation in the area. If you approach Monoko when she's a monster with the mask, she'll freeze up and begin erratically moving.
