The Train is a returning area from the first game, and it initially resides in the Wilderness. Entering it allows to travel between four areas - the Wilderness, Pirori Village, the Mural Forest, and the rightmost side of the Docks.
On the way to the Mural Forest, a black passenger with one eye can be found riding the train, requesting Madotsuki to play a certain series of notes. If done correctly, the player is rewarded with the Kalimba.
The maroon and blue creatures appear on the way to the Docks.
